Senior Staff Embedded Device Software Engineer

Nice to Have

• Experience developing and debugging Linux kernel drivers, especially for PHY devices.
• Hands-on exposure to AI-assisted software development, including GitHub Copilot Hands-on experience with Ethernet transceiver device drivers and knowledge of Ethernet physical layer protocols.
• Familiarity with Ethernet switching, MAC/PHY/SerDes, MACsec, PTP, and High Availability systems.
• What We're Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field with 5+ years of industry experience, or Master’s degree in a related field with 3+ years of industry experience.
• Proficiency in C programming for embedded systems across various OS environments (Linux, Windows).
• Hands-on experience with Windows Visual Studio and system-level software development.
• Strong understanding of structured programming principles, including parameter passing, abstract data types, and data encapsulation.
• Solid experience with Python for scripting and tool development.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git), CI/CD workflows, and issue tracking systems (e.g.
• Demonstrated ability to follow coding standards and best practices.
• Excellent debugging skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Expected Base Pay Range (USD) 132,500 - 196,140, $ per annum The successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions.
• The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
