What You'll Do

  • Explore agentic AI approaches to autonomous network and platform operations Experiment with telemetry and observability as inputs to autonomous decision-making Investigate next-generation datacenter protocols (MRC, UAL, ESUN) across the fabric Prototype ideas for autonomous platform and fabric management in datacenter systems What We're Looking For Eligibility: Enrolled in a PhD, MS by Research, or MTech by Research program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics or Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Requirements Strong fundamentals in computer networks, operating systems, and distributed systems Curiosity about agentic and autonomous systems, and how AI can drive self-managing infrastructure Exposure to telemetry and observability concepts (e.g., streaming standards such as gNMI or IPFIX) — or eagerness to go deep Interest in platform management and security concepts (e.g., BMC, out-of-band management, and protocols such as Redfish, IPMI, MCTP, PLDM, SPDM) Programming in C/C++, Python, or Go Preferred: Familiarity with SONiC or open network operating systems; interest in autonomous network operations or next-gen DC fabrics.
