- SFS systems design team is seeking a summer intern to develop and perform measurements and alignments on optical test benches to qualify subsystem level components and modules such as sensors, actuators, and light sources.
- The intern will then analyze the quantitative data to provide qualitative results and drive decisions.
- It is also desired for the intern to have the ability to model the expected results.
- The individual is expected to be highly motivated and able to work independently with guidance from senior engineers.
Requirements
- Background in engineering or physics with experience in optics. - Candidate is currently in graduate level studies or undergrade with 2+ years of laboratory experience. - Hands on experience in laboratory environment. - Experience with laser systems, optical alignment, and detection systems. - Scripting experience with MATLAB, Python, etc.
