  • Acquire expertise in the physics of defect signal and noise in optical inspection of highly sophisticated circuitry, and large-scale simulation and data analysis.
  • In this role you will: Work with Customers, Marketing and Applications Engineers to understand wafer fabrication processes and defects for optical inspection.
  • Perform electro-magnetic simulations and measurements to assess optical inspection sensitivity of patterned-wafer defects.
  • Assess new concepts (algorithms and hardware) to meet inspection challenges.
  • Communicate results and recommendations to product teams and customers.

Requirements

  • Doctorate (Academic) Degree and 1 year of experience Physics, Electrical Engineering or Optics background with specialization in electromagnetism Proficiency in image and signal processing and statistics using MATLAB, Python or other relevant software Travel of up to 10% including foreign destinations Base Pay Range: $136,300.00 - $231,700.00 Annually Primary Location: USA-CA-Milpitas-KLA KLA’s total rewards package for employees may also include participation in performance incentive programs and eligibility for additional benefits including but not limited to: medical, dental, vision, life, and other voluntary benefits, 401(K) including company matching, employee stock purchase program (ESPP), student debt assistance, tuition reimbursement program, development and career growth opportunities and programs, financial planning benefits, wellness benefits including an employee assistance program (EAP), paid time off and paid company holidays, and family care and bonding leave.
