The Role and Impact: As a System and Software Optimization Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing software and hardware interactions to enhance performance across various platforms and applications.
You will collaborate closely with partners and customers to identify opportunities for improvement, analyze system-level benchmarks, and showcase Intel's technology value through practical solutions that align with mutual goals.
Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and capability of Intel's platforms in diverse domains such as cloud, enterprise, AI, HPC, and edge computing.

Optimize cross-stack software to maximize performance and functionality of Intel platforms across diverse domains such as cloud, enterprise, AI, HPC, and edge systems. - Analyze and benchmark platform performance, including metrics like power, responsiveness, security, and system efficiency. - Collaborate with partners and customers to understand their software stacks, align roadmaps, and identify opportunities to deliver enhanced value through Intel technologies. - Develop key performance indicators and system-level measurement methodologies to evaluate hardware-software interactions and platform optimization. - Act as a trusted technical advisor, providing insights and guidance to influence Intel's platform and technology roadmaps.

Master's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline, with 6+ years of hands-on experience in system-level optimization, software engineering, or related domains. - Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, BASH scripting or similar for system-level software development and optimization. - Experience with performance analysis tools and methodologies, including power profiling, benchmarking, and debugging software-hardware interactions. - Knowledge of computer architecture, operating systems, and hardware/software interfaces. - Proficiency in Linux OS, Ubuntu or Redhat Linux.

Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners. - Experience in optimizing software in specific segments such as AI, HPC, cloud, or edge computing. - Experience with workload profiling and analysis. - Experience with Linux application performance tuning, Virtualization Technologies, and Containerization technologies. - Familiarity with system-level KPIs/KEIs and their application in platform measurement methodologies. - A passion for innovation and a commitment to advancing Intel's technology leadership through impactful engineering solutions.
