About This Role
- Join the Intel Integrated Performance Primitives (Intel IPP) Team! Are you passionate about software development, performance optimization, and image processing technologies? We are looking for a Software Development Intern to join our Intel IPP team and help shape highly optimized libraries used by developers worldwide.
- What You'll Do As a Software Development Intern, you will contribute to the development, validation, and performance optimization of image processing, signal processing, and data compression algorithms across current and next-generation Intel architectures.
- Your work will help enable faster, more efficient applications for customers and open-source communities alike.
- In this role, you will: Develop and optimize classic and modern image, signal processing, and data compression algorithms.
- Validate software functionality, performance, and quality across Intel platforms.
- Work with engineers to integrate optimized solutions into customer applications.
- Contribute improvements to third-party and open-source libraries.
- Learn about Intel processor architectures and leverage hardware-specific features to maximize application performance.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Programming experience in C .
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Interest in software optimization, algorithms, and computer architecture.
- Preferred Qualifications Experience with C++ and/or Assembly programming .
- Familiarity with image processing, signal processing, or data compression concepts.
- Knowledge of computer architecture and performance optimization techniques.
- Interest in low-level software development and hardware-aware programming.
