About This Role

Requirements
- Bachelor's or BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related specialized field. - 3-plus years of experience in firmware or software development with a Bachelor's degree, 2-plus years of experience with a Master's degree. - Proficiency in C programming. - Solid understanding of computer architecture principles. - Proven ability to execute tasks in a disciplined and detail-oriented manner. - Expertise in problem-solving and debugging software. - Knowledge of secure code development practices and lifecycle. - Experience with technology domain-specific knowledge relevant to firmware and software engineering.
- Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with Intel processor architecture.
- Experience with legacy BIOS platforms such as Phoenix or AMI, and/or UEFI firmware development.
- Understanding of EDK and Tiano cores.
- Experience with industry specifications such as PCI, ACPI, DDR ,IPMI,SMBIOS etc Experience in direct FW development, C programming in an embedded context with constrained resources Experience with Intel x86 Assembly Language Experience in PC assembly/building skills Experience with PC architecture Experience with debug and technical problem solving Low level debugging experience using ITP tool Experience with Simics knowledge Background in Open Source methodology, development philosophy, and source code architecture.
