  • The Team The Intel Compiler Engineering Team is a high performing team responsible for the industry-leading LLVM-based Intel C, C++, SYCL, and Fortran Compilers.
  • The team consists of leaders in the LLVM community.
  • We are continually pushing the boundaries of compiler technology in support of providing maximally useful and performant compilers for all of Intel's processor platforms, both CPU and GPUs.
  • Position Overview We are hiring a Compiler Engineer to work on Intel's open-source compiler stack.
  • You will work on the development of new features that will enable the latest language standards.
  • This work will enable you to collaborate upstream with the members of the clang open-source community, collaborating industry wide to deliver the best solutions.
  • This role is perfect for individuals who thrive on diving deep on complex problems and collaborating broadly when needed.

  • You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position.
  • Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
  • Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your degree, research and or relevant previous job and or internship experiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Informatics or a related technical discipline and 5+ years of experience OR Master's in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Informatics or related technical fields and 3+ years of experience.
  • The experience must include: Experience in C/C++, object-oriented programming, and data structures.
  • Hands-on compiler development experience.
  • Demonstrated history of technical contributions to open-source projects.
  • Core LLVM expertise including hands-on experience building compilers or compiler components using the LLVM framework, including optimization passes, code generation, or frontend integration.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, ability to proactively pursue solutions.
  • Annual Salary Range for this job which could be performed in Germany is: 83 390,00 € - €150,850.00

The compensation range displayed in this posting reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for this position.
  • Within this range, individual pay is determined by job related skills, experience, and relevant education, training.
  • As part of our total compensation approach, the final offer may include additional pay components and benefits.
