- Key Responsibilities Own, monitor, and optimize manufacturing processes and equipment to ensure operational excellence, safety, quality, productivity, and yield performance.
- Analyze process, equipment, and production data to identify trends, develop actionable insights, and drive data-informed decision making for continuous improvement.
- Conduct experiments, testing, and measurements to maintain process control, improve capability, and reduce variation, defects, and manufacturing excursions.
- Develop, implement, and sustain process and equipment improvements that enhance manufacturing efficiency, reliability, cost effectiveness, and operational performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, process engineering, equipment engineering, quality, and technology development to resolve technical challenges and support business objectives.
- Support the development, qualification, deployment, and transfer of new manufacturing technologies, processes, and best practices across global sites.
- Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions for process deviations, equipment issues, and yield-impacting events.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through statistical analysis, data visualization, automation, and performance monitoring tools.
- Partner with equipment suppliers and internal stakeholders to improve equipment capability, reliability, maintainability, and manufacturing readiness.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, operating procedures, dashboards, reports, and project updates to ensure effective communication and knowledge sharing.
- Support equipment installation, qualification, maintenance, and factory ramp activities while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Contribute to next-generation process development and manufacturing innovation to strengthen Intel's competitive advantage.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with hands-on experience in technical domains gained through internships, academic projects, coursework, or hands-on training, OR a Master's degree in a relevant field with no prior professional experience.
- Proficiency in technical tools, software, or systems relevant to manufacturing engineering.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Commitment to an initial 1-year contract term, with openness to a performance-based 1-year extension.
- Preferred Qualifications Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with the ability to translate complex manufacturing data into actionable insights.
- Experience in semiconductor manufacturing, process engineering, equipment engineering, manufacturing operations, or related technical fields.
- Proficiency in data analysis, statistical methods, Design of Experiments (DOE), Statistical Process Control (SPC), and root cause analysis methodologies.
- Experience with data visualization, reporting, dashboard development, or analytics tools to monitor and improve manufacturing performance.
- Strong expertise in manufacturing process characterization, process optimization, yield improvement, and defect reduction methodologies.
- Experience with equipment monitoring, troubleshooting, qualification, and performance optimization in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of automation, process control systems, and manufacturing data systems is an added advantage.
- Effective collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work across cross-functional teams and global stakeholders.
