About This Role
- This role requires regular onsite presence to fulfill essential job responsibilities.
- Evaluates and provides key input on electronic or electromechanical system design, and installs, qualifies, sustains and improves same systems in manufacturing environment.
- Works across factory modules to integrate the entire manufacturing process with a manufacturing system that is reliable, economically competitive, and environmentally responsible and meets factory requirements.
- Acts as a connector for manufacturing with virtual factory groups, such as automation, control, supply chain, and industrial engineering to deploy necessary capabilities to factories while maintaining systems and configurations across the organization.
- Integrates, tests, installs, configures, and/or supports hardware and software systems, coordinates factory requirements, maps them to automation systems capabilities, and recommends technical solutions.
- Uses data analytics to identify and fix issues with equipment.
- Develops metrics and monitors for these particular systems.
- Leads a high volume manufacturing (HVM) preventive maintenance program of electronic or electromechanical equipment that enables the manufacturing equipment to meet availability targets.
- Works across factories to drive product continuous improvement roadmaps that improve manufacturing equipment performance and achieve new equipment performance targets.
- Works with suppliers to troubleshoot issues with existing and new products.
- Drives project management for specific projects including activities such as defining user requirement, planning, budgeting, forecasting, design, procurement, schedule development, installation, adoption, and postimplementation review.
- Conducts comprehensive gap analysis for technologies that are disruptive to high volume manufacturing systems, designing systems to enable these technologies, and leading groups or teams to implement systems solutions, and transferring these solutions to HVM partners.
Qualifications
- Min. 2–6 years of relevant professional experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
- Master's degree preferred (MBA or relevant technical field).
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, startup‑style environment and effectively manage stress.
- Willingness and ability to work onsite in Penang.
