About This Role

  • The Role and Impact As a Semiconductor Manufacturing Engineer, you will be instrumental in developing, supporting, and advancing high-volume and technology-driven manufacturing processes and systems.
  • Your focus will be on sustaining and optimizing operations while implementing solutions that improve efficiency, product quality, and factory performance.
  • By analyzing key metrics, identifying areas for improvement, and driving innovations, your work will have a direct impact on Intel's manufacturing excellence and operational success.
  • Business Group This role is part of Intel's Assembly Technology Development team, a team dedicated to delivering world-class silicon packaging technology and high-volume manufacturing solutions.
  • As a member of this group, you will contribute to the seamless execution of manufacturing processes that drive Intel's business objectives, innovation, and commitment to quality.
  • Key Responsibilities Provide technical expertise throughout the product lifecycle, including New Product Introduction (NPI) builds and sustaining manufacturing processes.
  • Develop and implement manufacturing decision support tools, methodologies, and standards for operational sequences and processes.
  • Identify and resolve process deviations while driving improvements in efficiency, product quality, and factory performance.
  • Analyze factory metrics to enhance output, capacity, and overall operational health.
  • Collaborate with factory operations, engineering teams, and automation stakeholders to align strategies and tools with operational goals.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation on process requirements, product configuration, and build standards.
  • Partner with automation teams to define and implement manufacturing system requirements and solutions.

Requirements

  • Minimum qualifications listed below would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experience, academic projects, and / or schoolwork/classes/research.
  • The preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
  • Minimum Qualifications US Citizenship required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or in STEM related field of study.
  • Experience in manufacturing processes demonstrated through internships, academic projects, coursework, or hands-on training.
  • Preferred Qualifications Masters degree in Industrial Engineering or in STEM related field of study.
  • Familiarity with semiconductor technology development and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience in development or high-volume manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies and certifications.
  • Program or project management experience.
  • Data mining and visualization skills using tools such as SQL, PowerBI, R, or JMP.
  • Experience in analyzing factory performance metrics, identifying process optimization opportunities, and delivering novel solutions.

  • Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $76,390.00-146,440.00 USD The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations.
  • Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
