About This Role
- The Logistics Operations Manager (LOM) manages the overall logistics of one or more categories and owns performance metrics to meet the operational needs of the logistics function.
- This role ensures operational activities adhere to laws, guidelines, and Intel's standard requirements while driving Operational Excellence and supplier performance.
- Key Responsibilities: -Supplier Governance: Manage suppliers for the storage or movement of inbound, interplant, and outbound material, equipment, and finished goods.
- Monitor and benchmark supplier services against SLAs and guide suppliers to evolve service levels in line with Intel requirements.
- Performance Management: Own KPIs such as GPI, CDD/POD adherence, cost per box/carton/pallet/sqft/transaction/head, and quality metrics.
- Report progress against agreed schedule, scope, cost, and quality constraints to senior leaders regularly.
- Ramp Enablement: Oversee bonded and LMW warehouse operations for KM ramp, including space optimization, pallet inflow management, and surge coverage during conversion windows.
- Process Improvement: Gather data on existing processes, analyze defects and inefficiencies, and implement best practices.
- Utilize analytical and advanced technology skills (including automation and AI) to develop logistics solutions that optimize Intel's business execution.
- Systems and Compliance: Support SAP/WMS changes (plant codes, bin management, label/MMID hygiene) and ensure customs/trade compliance for bonded and LMW flows.
- Escalation Management: Track and resolve shipping, warehouse, and carrier errors, as well as logistics exceptions, ensuring minimal impact on customer service.
- Collaboration: Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams and logistics service providers to ensure smooth process flow and efficient delivery of products to customers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in logistics operations or 3PL management, preferably in high-volume or ramp environments.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, bonded/LMW compliance, and supplier governance.
- Good knowledge of Malaysia customs regulations and experience working with local customs and brokers.
- Demonstrated ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy, providing leadership through strong ownership, sound judgment, and decisive problem‑solving in complex operational environments Proficiency in SAP/WMS systems, inventory control, and performance metric tracking.
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to leverage data for decision-making and process improvement.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to influence across global teams.
