About This Role
- As a Network Engineer (NW Manufacturing / Foundry Operations), you will be responsible for sustaining and operating mission‑critical manufacturing network infrastructure that directly supports Intel Foundry fabrication environments.
- This role is focused on operational execution, network stability, and incident response, ensuring factory networks remain highly available and resilient in a 24x7 production environment.
- You will work closely with Intel foundry automation team, and Network engineering teams to support factory uptime through disciplined operations, standardized change execution, and effective incident handling.
- Key Responsibilities: Operate and sustain manufacturing and Foundry network services to ensure high availability and operational stability Deploy, configure, and support network infrastructure, primarily Cisco‑based platforms, in production manufacturing environments Monitor network performance and capacity, identify operational risks, and support timely remediation to prevent factory impact Collaborate effectively with cross‑functional global teams to deliver operational outcomes on schedule Respond to network incidents, participate in structured troubleshooting, and support rapid service restoration to minimize manufacturing downtime Participate in 24x7 on‑call rotations and operational escalations for factory‑impacting events Execute network changes following established manufacturing change management and operational readiness processes.
- Apply engineering judgement to resolve operational issues, escalating higher‑risk or design‑level problems appropriately Support capacity and feasibility assessments under direction from senior engineers to enable safe factory growth Support deployments of new capabilities, through collaboration with network engineering.
- Adapts and learns new technology and partners with other IT organizations and Foundry Automation for knowledge building.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field. 2+ years of hands‑on experience installing, configuring, and supporting Cisco or equivalent network equipment in production environments.
- Holding or pursuing a CCNA certification.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to manufacturing, Foundry, or other mission‑critical production networks.
- Experience working in DevOps‑aligned teams supporting 24x7 services.
- Experience with Cisco ACI architecture in an operational or sustainment role.
