About This Role

- Key Responsibilities of Firmware Validation Engineer: Design and develop software validation environments to test firmware functionality.
- Create validation plans and associated methodologies to ensure comprehensive coverage of system and subsystem requirements.
- Execute validation activities, analyze results, and debug failures to ensure functionality aligns with specifications.
- Identify root causes of issues, recommend corrective actions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions.
- Write and maintain validation standards, procedures, and documentation to uphold best practices.
- Assess new validation methods, tools, and technologies to improve the quality and efficiency of the validation process.
- Provide support and expertise for customer-reported issues, ensuring timely resolution and maintaining high customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. 3 years of experience in software or firmware validation with a Bachelor's degree or 2 years with a Master's degree.
- Practical knowledge and hands-on expertise in Python scripting for validation purposes.
- Strong debugging and root cause analysis skills to identify and resolve complex firmware issues.
- Familiarity with the software validation process and test scope planning.
- Demonstrated capability in firmware debugging within complex hardware-software environments.

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects effectively.
- Proven problem-solving skills with a disciplined approach to executing tasks.
