- Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and verify hardware design tools, flows, and methodologies to enable efficient hardware development.
- Support and develop TFM, particularly in relation to new technology nodes and EDA tool enablement.
- Create and verify unique hardware designs, assemble design platforms, and integrate components into hierarchical systems for end-to-end EDA tool testing.
- Develop, test, and analyze engineering design automation tools, flows, and methodologies to improve power and performance optimization and overall efficiency.
- Support the development and enhancement of platforms, databases, scripts, and tool flows for design automation.
- Build and apply deep technical expertise in digital design, verification, structural and physical layout, full-chip integration, power and performance analysis, clocking, and timing.
- Collaborate with EDA vendors to define, test, and drive the adoption of next-generation hardware design tools.
- Debug and resolve complex engineering and tool-related challenges, ensuring disciplined execution and problem-solving.
- Work closely with TFM stakeholders on driving PPA goals Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's or BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience per business needs. 3+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree or 2+ years of relevant experience with a Master's degree.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or TCL for automation tasks.
- Foundational knowledge of design infrastructure tools and methodologies related to hardware design and development.
- Basic understanding of digital design, physical design, verification, and performance optimization processes.
- Preferred Qualifications Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
- Knowledge of synthesis and APR flows, as well as vendor tools, flows, and methodologies (TFM) used in the semiconductor industry.
- Familiarity with hardware architecture, logic design, and emerging physical design technologies.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate across cross-functional and vendor teams.
