About This Role

  • We are looking for someone who is passionate about working hands-on technically with both internal and external teams to deliver impactful Fleet and Scale software solutions that are critical to Data Center customers.
  • You will be part of a team responsible for developing Customer Fleet and Scale capabilities that enable high-quality Intel server product launches and improve in-fleet customer experience.

  • As a Senior Dev Ops Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and scaling Intel's software for data platform and analytics ecosystem.
  • The position focuses on the design, development, deployment, and optimization of data infrastructure, telemetry processing pipelines, customer health analytics, and fleet quality solutions.
  • You will work closely with software architects, customer engineering teams, validation organizations, and data scientists to transform large-scale platform telemetry into actionable insights that improve product quality, customer experience, defect screening, fleet reliability, and operational efficiency across Intel Xeon products.
  • Responsibilities Develop and maintain backend components supporting software and data platform infrastructure.
  • Work on data extraction, processing, and analysis of information collected from Intel Server Health screening applications and customer fleet telemetry solutions.
  • Design and implement scalable data processing pipelines using distributed computing frameworks.
  • Build and maintain fleet-scale analytics solutions supporting customer telemetry, reliability, quality, and health monitoring data.
  • Perform queries against cloud-hosted relational and non-relational databases.
  • Design, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries supporting large-scale data analysis workloads.
  • Create and maintain data processing code and extraction pipelines that feed data marts and analytics platforms from enterprise data warehouses.
  • Develop, modify, and maintain Python-based backend services and data presentation applications supporting customer and stakeholder reporting needs.
  • Propose, develop, and enhance dashboards, visualizations, and analytics solutions used by engineering teams and customers.
  • Deploy, manage, and optimize services running on Kubernetes-based infrastructure.
  • Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and modern DevOps practices.
  • Work closely with Microsoft Azure cloud services to deploy scalable and reliable data platform solutions.
  • Collaborate on software release planning, deployment activities, and operational readiness reviews.
  • Identify, isolate, track, and resolve software issues throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Perform code debugging, root-cause analysis, bug resolution, and automated test development.
  • Optimize system performance and proactively identify scalability bottlenecks across the data platform ecosystem.
  • Partner with customer engineering, validation, manufacturing, and fleet operations teams to analyze large-scale telemetry datasets and improve platform quality initiatives.
  • Candidate Profile The successful candidate should bring a combination of: Software engineering and data engineering expertise using Python and modern data frameworks.
  • Deep understanding of large-scale data platforms, distributed systems, and cloud-native architectures.
  • Experience building telemetry analytics, fleet health monitoring, and customer quality solutions.
  • Database architecture, data modeling, and query optimization expertise.
  • Experience designing data marts, analytics pipelines, and scalable cloud-based data solutions.
  • Expertise working with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured datasets.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, containerized applications, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps practices.
  • Data pipeline development, analytics, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills.
  • Customer-focused engineering mindset with strong communication and collaboration capabilities.
  • Operate across software architecture, validation, customer engineering, manufacturing, and quality organizations.
  • Experience supporting large-scale Data Center and Xeon server solutions.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in highly dynamic technical environments.
  • Passion for leveraging data to improve customer quality, fleet reliability, defect screening, and operational efficiency.
  • This position is a fixed-term opportunity lasting approximately 24 months.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Data Engineering, Data Science, or related field with 7+ years of relevant experience; OR Master's Degree in the same fields with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience mentioned above should be in the following areas: Advanced Python programming skills.
  • Experience developing and deploying applications on Kubernetes (K8s).
  • Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
  • Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases.
  • Writing complex and optimized SQL queries.
  • Working with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured datasets.
  • Git, GitHub, and pull request workflows.
  • Microsoft Azure cloud services or similar.
  • Distributed computing frameworks such as Spark or Dask.
  • Debugging software, resolving production issues, and developing automated tests.
  • Jupyter notebooks and interactive development environments.
  • Docker and containerized application development.
  • Advance English level.
  • Must have unrestricted, permanent right to work in Mexico (this role is not eligible for visa or immigration sponsorship).

Nice to Have

  • Experience proposing and designing data models supporting customer analytics, data marts, and reporting solutions.
  • Experience designing and optimizing warehouse schemas, data storage models, and large-scale analytics environments.
  • Experience with scikit-learn, pandas, NumPy, and other advanced data analytics libraries.
  • Experience developing analytics workflows supporting fleet health monitoring and customer quality initiatives.
  • Knowledge of Linux development environments and Linux internals.
  • Experience with cloud-native technologies including Kubernetes, Docker, Azure, AWS, and GCP.
  • Experience with data visualization frameworks, dashboard development, and business intelligence solutions.
  • Understanding of machine learning workflows, MLOps, and model deployment practices.
  • Experience processing large-scale telemetry, diagnostics, validation, manufacturing, or customer fleet datasets.
  • Understanding of Intel Xeon platforms, system telemetry, and server architecture.
