About This Role
- The Manufacturing, Product, and Quality Engineering (MPQ) team works at the intersection of manufacturing, product design, and quality control at Intel.
- Our main goal is to prepare new product designs for manufacturing and ensure all products meet Intel's strict quality standards for our customers.
- The Costa Rica Validation Lab Engineering (CRVLE) group supports various engineering teams in Costa Rica.
- By providing shared lab space, we help boost Intel Costa Rica's productivity and promote a One Intel approach, where all teams work together efficiently.
- We are seeking knowledge and driven individuals to support the CRVLE Industrial Engineering Team as an Industrial Engineering Student.
- This role is responsible for game-plan governance and make the connection between short-range capacity planning and tactical execution, also will be responsible to ensures unified execution of laboratory objectives and resolution of roadblocks across all product lines, transforming production plans into executable schedules while optimizing resource utilization, reducing cycle time, and protecting delivery commitments under real-time constraints.
- The primary responsibilities for this role will include, but are not limited to: Support CRVLE Tactical Planners to ensure smooth factory readiness from early builds through volume activities.
- Actively track VPOs movement and health, and promptly highlight abnormal behaviors (holds, tool mismatches, routing errors, yield risk signals, etc.) to vertical teams across MPQ CRVLE network.
- Responsible for supporting the creation of Lab daily schedule of execution using multiple planning systems, monitoring, and analyzing critical indicators to identify improvement opportunities.
- Provide hands-on execution monitoring for NPI builds, VPO and engineering activities, especially during high-risk milestones, lead lots, or first-of-kind flows.
- Drive and optimize end-to-end scheduling strategy: detailed execution plans, sequencing changeovers, and resource assignments with time-phased dependencies.
- Apply sequencing logic (FIFO, QTG, QPS, Critical Ratio) to maximize bottleneck performance; lead daily product syncs to align priorities.
- Track performance (PHIs, volume, UTZ, engineering activities) and trigger recovery actions to protect delivery commitments.
- Demonstrate high operational discipline - precision in execution, attention to detail, and zero tolerance for undocumented shortcuts.
- Continuously look for process gaps, unclear ownership, or recurring pain points, and feed learnings back to improve planning standards and readiness checklists.
- Embrace an active learning mindset: urgency with quality, data-driven problem solving, and willingness to engage across disciplines.

Requirements
- Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position.
- Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, minimum 50 percent of the academical program completed.
- Other Engineering fields are not going to be considered.
- MS Office skills (Macros, algorithms, and/or mathematical functions; Pivot and Dynamic tables programing and Power BI) Intermediate to Advanced English proficiency (both verbal and written).
- Must have unrestricted - permanent right to work in Costa Rica.
Nice to Have
- Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
- Experience in tactical planning, product engineering, work orders, manufacturing planning.
- Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.
