- Within DCG, the SYCL Runtime team focuses on optimizing tools and technologies to enhance software performance across Intel's CPU and GPU architectures.

- Key Responsibilities - Analyze and triage performance issues in C++, OpenMP, and SYCL applications and benchmarks. - Collaborate with cross-geo engineering and validation teams to ensure product quality and performance. - Investigate and resolve compiler defects, prepare reproductions, and track bug submissions. - Contribute to compiler middle-end and back-end development, including scalar and loop optimization and vectorization. - Execute functional and performance experiments, including stress testing, and identify opportunities for product improvement. - Engage with open-source compiler communities and contribute to industry-wide solutions.
Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related technical discipline. - Hands-on experience in C/C++ coding, object-oriented programming, and data structures gained through internships, academic projects, coursework, or hands-on training. - Proficiency in Linux and Windows command-line environments. - Strong problem-solving and debugging skills with a history of proactively pursuing solutions.
- Preferred Qualifications - Familiarity with compiler technologies such as middle-end/back-end development, linker, or assembler. - Knowledge of code optimization techniques for efficient hardware performance. - Experience with parallel programming models like OpenMP, CUDA, or SYCL. - Demonstrated ability to analyze runtime behaviors and contribute to performance improvements for heterogeneous computing architectures.
