About This Role

  • As an Analog Circuit Design Engineering Intern, you will contribute directly to Intel’s cutting-edge analog and mixed-signal circuit development efforts.
  • In this role, you will participate in the design, simulation, and analysis of analog and mixed-signal circuits, supporting robust circuit implementation and integration.
  • This opportunity is designed for undergraduate students who are building strong foundations in circuit design and programming.
  • You will gain hands-on experience applying modern coding practices and AI-assisted engineering tools to solve real-world circuit design problems.
  • The internship offers a collaborative, hands-on environment to strengthen your technical expertise in analog design, enhance programming and analytical problem-solving skills, and gain exposure to industry-standard design methodologies that support Intel’s technology leadership.
  • This internship has a duration of six months.
  • Key Responsibilities Contribute to analog circuit design and analysis, including schematic development and performance evaluation.
  • Perform circuit-level simulations to validate design intent across operating conditions and process corners.
  • Support the definition and documentation of circuit-level requirements and specifications.
  • Analyze simulation results related to gain, bandwidth, noise, linearity, stability, and power.
  • Develop and apply clean, well-structured code (e.g., scripting in Python or similar languages) to automate simulations, data analysis, and workflows.
  • Apply good programming practices such as modular design, version control, and clear documentation.
  • Utilize AI-assisted tools for productivity and engineering tasks (e.g., simulation setup, data parsing, debugging, and documentation).
  • Prepare clear and concise technical documentation and reports summarizing methods, results, and insights.
  • This internship position is a full‑time role for a fixed duration of six months.
  • While the role requires full‑time commitment, the team offers reasonable schedule flexibility to support individual needs, in coordination with the people manager.
  • The program is intended to provide a focused, immersive industry experience aligned with Intel’s professional work environment and expectations.

Requirements

  • Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position.
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
  • Basic experience with circuit design, including schematic capture and fundamental analysis through lab work or projects.
  • Familiarity with CMOS analog circuit fundamentals, such as amplifiers, biasing, feedback, and stability.
  • Foundational knowledge of signals and systems or related topics.
  • Experience with programming or scripting (e.g., Python, MATLAB, or similar).
  • Exposure to analog circuit simulation tools (e.g., SPICE-based simulators) through coursework or academic projects.
  • Basic experience using or willingness to learn AI-based tools to enhance engineering workflows.
  • Intermediate English language proficiency.

Nice to Have

  • Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
  • Strong undergraduate coursework in analog or mixed-signal circuit design.
  • Hands-on experience with EDA tools such as Cadence® Virtuoso® / Spectre or equivalent.
  • Experience with course or personal projects involving circuit design and implementation.
  • Demonstrated understanding of good coding practices (e.g., version control, testing, readable code structure).
  • Demonstrated experience in applying AI and automation to engineering workflows.
  • Advanced English language proficiency.
