About This Role
- The Capital Accounting Analyst supports the execution of critical Close and Reporting activities for Intel's Property, Plant, and Equipment (PPE) accounting, contributing to the accuracy and integrity of Intel's financial statements.
- This role serves as a key point of contact for multiple partners, including Internal and External Audit, Consolidations, SOX, and Capital Finance.
- This position is part of the Global Capital Accounting team within the Chief Accounting Office.
- It is a dynamic, high impact role that combines technical accounting responsibilities with cross functional collaboration and project support.
- Key Responsibilities : Maintain and analyze capital ledger accounts and support US GAAP capital reporting and Local GAAP statutory financial reporting.
- Validate month end and quarter end capital balances, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely preparation of schedules that provide meaningful business insights.
- Support internal and external audit activities by coordinating requests, providing documentation, and addressing questions in a timely manner.
- Assist in the development, documentation, and maintenance of capital accounting procedures and internal controls to ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards.
- Coordinate with statutory auditors and support local statutory reporting and filings, including collaboration with tax and local finance teams.
- Partner with internal stakeholders on accounting automation initiatives, process improvements, and ad hoc capital accounting projects.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls over financial reporting and collaborate cross functionally to support proper accounting treatment for new or unique transactions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or Professional Degree in Accounting. 1+ years of relevant accounting experience.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and identify issues.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a deadline driven environment.
- Effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills.
- Proactive, results oriented mindset with the ability to challenge the status quo constructively.
Nice to Have
- Experience in public accounting and/or capital accounting.
- Working knowledge of SAP / S4 systems.
- Experience supporting SOX compliance or internal controls.
