What You'll Do
- Lead the development, simulation, and optimization of chemical processes to improve efficiency, product quality, and cost performance.
- Conduct feasibility studies, material and energy balances, and risk assessments for process changes and new installations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, energy consumption, and operational variability.
- Perform root-cause analyses and implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions.
- Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to ensure reliable and stable process performance.
- Lead or support HAZOP, risk assessments, and safety reviews for processes and equipment modifications.
- Lead engineering scopes for capital and improvement projects, from concept through commissioning.
- Prepare engineering documentation including P&IDs, process specifications, control strategies, and technical reports.
- Utilize process data, statistical tools, and advanced analytics to monitor performance and recommend improvements.
- Develop technical reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Provide technical guidance and coaching to junior engineers and technicians.
- Lead technical workstreams and contribute to capability building within the engineering function.
- Identify opportunities to enhance sustainability, resource efficiency, and environmental performance.
- Evaluate new technologies, materials, and process innovations for potential implementation.
- Other Responsibilities Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and programs.
- Required Qualifications Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related field Min 5 - 7 years relevant experience in a Chemical/Wafer Fab manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of process safety, unit operations, thermodynamics, and process control.
- Experience with engineering tools (e.g., Aspen Plus/HYSYS, AutoCAD, PI, Six Sigma) Excellent analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Proven ability to lead complex projects and drive technical decisions.
