About This Role
- Act as a customer-facing Design Support Engineer, supporting GlobalFoundries’ mature, RF, and advanced node platforms, with a focus on IPs and digital design flows and methodologies.
- Own and resolve customer technical cases end-to-end by reproducing issues, identifying root causes, and providing timely solutions or workarounds to enable successful tape-out and first-time silicon success.
- Provide expert application engineering support to address complex customer design challenges and act as a trusted technical partner throughout the design cycle.
- Develop and deliver customized technical presentations, workshops, and proposals to support customer evaluations and design activities.
- Represent GlobalFoundries’ technologies credibly and transparently, clearly articulating both strengths and limitations to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Identify gaps and bottlenecks in PDKs, design flows, or enablement solutions, and proactively propose improvements aligned with customer requirements.
- Serve as the voice of the customer by feeding design insights and requirements back to internal development and technology teams to continuously improve enablement solutions.
- Analyze customer requirements and recommend appropriate applications of GlobalFoundries’ products and technologies.
- Perform all activities in compliance with Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and company policies.
- Your Profile Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience in the semiconductor industry (technology or design roles) is an advantage.
- Strong technical aptitude with excellent communication skills.
- Customer-facing experience and/or exposure to technical sales activities is desirable.
- Exposure to and competence in IC design environments, enablement flows, and EDA tools is an advantage.
- Strong commitment to high-quality customer support and a structured, detail-oriented approach to problem solving.
- Previous experience within, or in close collaboration with, a semiconductor manufacturer is desirable.
- Required Qualifications Technical degree required (exceptions subject to local HR approval).
- Bachelor’s degree with 2–4 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 1–3 years of relevant experience, or PhD with 0–1 year of relevant experience.
- Relevant experience in the field is a plus.
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken.
