What You'll Do
- Assist with integrating, deploying, testing, and scaling machine learning models, including large language, computer vision, and predictive models, within production-oriented AI pipelines.
- Analyze latency, memory usage, and computational footprint, and help optimize AI inference workflows for edge devices or cloud infrastructure.
- Use modern AI-assisted development tools to accelerate software prototyping, code development, testing, and debugging while following team engineering and review practices.
- Document engineering designs, experiment configurations, performance benchmarks, software interfaces, and API architectures so work is clear, reproducible, and maintainable.
- Other Responsibilities: Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
- Required Qualifications: Education – At least a sophomore at time of application and actively pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science or related field through an accredited degree program during the time of internship.
- Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and be in good academic standing.
- Familiarity with at least one major machine learning framework, such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and software version control using GitLab, GitHub, or related tools.
- Ability to navigate ambiguous technical problems, learn new tools quickly, and communicate technical trade-offs effectively.
- Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal) Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.

- Prior related internship or co-op experience Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc.
- Strong interest in leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support effective decision-making.
- Project management skills, i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong planning & organizational skills Familiarity with low-level, high-performance programming, such as kernel optimization, systems programming, or hardware accelerators.
