About This Role

  • Cadence is seeking a junior Thermal Application Engineer with some background in modeling and analyzing classic and real-world thermal systems and multiphysics systems.
  • We want someone who works well in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment, can communicate complex concepts clearly and is unafraid to tackle new challenges.
  • This individual will work with peer Applications Engineers and other business groups and eventually can be working unsupervised.
  • The individual possesses good communication skills for interfacing effectively with Cadence R&D, Product Engineering, Marketing and customers.

  • Perform component and system thermal analysis Design mechanical components and platform enclosures Helping customers to adopt and proliferate our CFD/FEM solutions for thermal and mechanical analysis Conducting technical presentations, technical training, and product demonstrations, including development of customized presentations Supporting technical evaluations and benchmarks Help R&D and product engineers develop competitive and creative technical solutions Requirements: Completed BS in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace, Physics, or equivalent Basic knowledge of engineering and physics-based principles related to heat transfer, fluid flow, and solid mechanics Basic knowledge of finite element analysis, numerical methods, and partial differential equations will be preferred Proficient in using mechanical CAD software Excellent written and verbal communication skills Interest in learning new technologies Experience in scripting languages like Python Open to continued personal development to meet the evolving demands of the EDA industry Team player with a positive attitude, willingness to offer and execute ideas and solutions to enhance processes within an evolving environment Nice to have: Previous experience with Cadence CFD tools (Celsius EC, RealityDC, Fidelity, Pointwise, Beta CAE...) or other CFD mesh generation and solver software with aerospace, automotive, industrial, turbomachinery, or marine applications Experienced in thermal and mechanical design of electronic equipment Experienced with thermal analysis and thermal simulation tools (CFD) Experienced with air and liquid cooling design, and thermal testing Strong problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail with the ability to organize and prioritize Additional Job Details: Employment category: CLT Employment term: 40 hours/week.
