Software Engineer

About This Role

• Overview: The Cybersecurity Network & Malware Research Analyst analyses network traffic, dissects malicious payloads, and crafts detection logic—specifically high-fidelity Suricata intrusion signatures targeting CVE-based exploits and malware command-and-control (C2) channels.
• Key Responsibilities:- Malware & Traffic Analysis: Perform static/dynamic analysis on malware samples and PCAPs to extract network Indicators of Compromise (IOCs).
• Signature Engineering & QA: Research newly disclosed CVEs, author custom Suricata IDS/IPS rules, and test logic against pcap repos to ensure zero false positives.
• Threat Intelligence Mapping: Map detection triggers to MITRE ATT&CK techniques and enrich emerging threat intelligence streams.
• Rule Optimization: Prune and tune enterprise Suricata signature sets to maximize inspection throughput and minimize sensor latency.
