Requirements

  • BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent industry experience) 6+ years of experience designing ultrasound or phased-array systems — medical imaging or NDT, with commercial deployment Proven hands-on experience with at least one of the following: Ultrasound transducer design, piezo/CMUT/PMUT integration, or acoustic stack development TX/RX analog front-end design, including pulsers, T/R switches, LNA/VGA chains, ADC selection, and impedance matching Beamforming architectures — analog, digital, or hybrid Ability to prototype and debug hardware at the bench, working from schematic to first echo Experience with ultrasound measurement techniques — phantom testing, axial/lateral resolution evaluation, acoustic output characterization Self-starter who can independently define architecture direction while working closely with electrical, mechanical, and software teammates Strong documentation discipline and ability to support design verification / regulatory test requirements Preferred Qualifications Experience with handheld ultrasound systems and/or POCUS platforms Familiarity with FDA 510(k) ultrasound regulatory guidance, IEC 60601 acoustic safety, and MI/TI reporting Experience interfacing with DSP or mobile app developers for beamforming and display pipelines Exposure to AI/ML-assisted imaging or Doppler/power/color flow analysis For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S.

  • Job Req Type: Experienced Required Travel: Yes, 10% of the time Shift Type: 1st Shift/Days The expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $125,250 to $187,875.
  • Actual wage offered may vary depending on work location , experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors.
  • This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus which is based on personal and company factors.
