What You'll Do

  • & Core Competencies Demonstrated technical aptitude and hands-on experience designing injection-molded, sheet metal, cast, and 3D-printed components, as well as complex mechanical assemblies.
  • Independently drive complex projects, make critical engineering decisions, and rapidly iterate concepts from early prototypes through refined designs.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally using email, text, and Microsoft Teams to enable effective project collaboration.
  • Plan, manage, and execute against timelines and deliverables to meet project deadline requirements.
  • Accurately estimate task effort and communicate completion timing within broader project plans.
  • Manage and communicate effectively with external suppliers and vendors (domestic and international).
  • Technical Tools Advanced proficiency with SolidWorks for part and assembly design, 2D drawing creation (GD&T), and industry-standard specification practices.
  • Ability to generate manufacturing-ready outputs, including files used for rapid prototyping and 3D printing workflows.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Location Chicago area, with close proximity to and the ability to commute to Oak Park, IL as needed.
  • Work Hours Full-time position working 40+ hours per week with flexible scheduling; evening and weekend work may be required based on project urgency and deadlines.
  • Travel Regular local travel; occasional domestic and international air travel as business needs require.
  • For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S.
  • Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S.
  • Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.

  • Job Req Type: Experienced Required Travel: Yes, 10% of the time Shift Type: 1st Shift/Days The expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $131,285 to $190,108.
  • Actual wage offered may vary depending on work location , experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors.
  • This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus which is based on personal and company factors.
