About This Role

  • Summary The Senior Embedded Software Engineer (P4) will develop and maintain embedded software solutions for RF and data converter products.
  • This role involves low-level software development, close interaction with hardware, and ownership of complex features across multiple products.
  • The position requires strong technical expertise, independence, and effective cross‑functional collaboration.
  • Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain embedded software in C/C++ for RF and data‑converter platforms Develop and support low-level firmware, device drivers, and hardware-facing APIs Support silicon bring‑up, integration, and debug on evaluation boards and lab systems Collaborate with hardware, systems, validation, applications, and tools teams Debug complex system issues spanning firmware, hardware, and software tools Contribute to software architecture decisions, code reviews, and design discussions Produce and maintain technical documentation for internal and external use Support multiple projects, releases, and customer issues in parallel Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field Strong experience in embedded software development (C/C++), typically 6–10+ years Solid understanding of embedded systems architecture, including ARM‑based systems Experience with memory‑mapped I/O, interrupts, DMA, and real‑time constraints Strong debugging and problem‑solving skills, including use of lab equipment Preferred Qualifications Experience with RF systems, data converters, or signal processing products Familiarity with Linux‑based embedded systems and/or RTOS environments Experience supporting new silicon bring‑up or pre‑silicon environments Python or scripting experience for automation, tooling, or test Experience mentoring junior engineers or acting as a technical lead Level Expectations – P4 Operates as a senior individual contributor with limited supervision Owns complex features or subsystems end‑to‑end Provides technical guidance and influences team‑level decisions Balances hands‑on development with architectural thinking Additional Information Travel: Up to 10%.
  • Location: Valencia, Spain #LI-TK1 For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S.
  • Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S.
  • Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
