What You'll Do

  • Equipment Ownership & Manufacturing Support Serve as the technical owner for assigned PVD/Thin Film manufacturing equipment.
  • Lead installation, qualification, and startup of new tools and process equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex equipment issues to maximize uptime and manufacturing performance.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve preventative maintenance strategies to enhance equipment reliability.
  • Support production operations by rapidly diagnosing and resolving equipment-related excursions.
  • Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence Drive improvements in equipment utilization, availability, throughput, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
  • Identify and reduce sources of process variation, defectivity, and manufacturing scrap.
  • Develop and implement solutions to improve cycle time, yield, and product quality.
  • Evaluate and implement equipment upgrades, modifications, and emerging technologies.
  • Lead cost reduction initiatives through process optimization, hardware improvements, and operational efficiencies.
  • Engineering & Technical Leadership Develop equipment specifications, procedures, and qualification plans.
  • Establish and enhance tool qualification, monitoring, and process control methodologies.
  • Utilize data-driven analysis, fault detection systems, and statistical methods to identify and resolve performance issues.
  • Apply structured problem-solving methodologies to drive permanent corrective actions.
  • Lead or participate in cross-functional engineering, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement teams.
  • Provide technical mentorship and support for technicians, engineers, and manufacturing personnel.
  • Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in semiconductor manufacturing equipment engineering, field service engineering, or a related technical role.
  • Strong knowledge of wafer fabrication processes and semiconductor manufacturing operations.
  • Proven experience troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and improving manufacturing equipment.
  • Experience supporting PVD, Thin Film, Diffusion, Wet Process, or related semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
  • Hands-on experience with Applied Materials and/or Novellus equipment platforms.
  • Working knowledge of: Statistical Process Control (SPC) Fault Detection and Classification (FDC) Process Control Systems Root Cause Analysis methodologies Lean Manufacturing principles Experience leading equipment improvement projects in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S.
  • Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S.
  • Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.

  • Job Req Type: Experienced Required Travel: No Shift Type: 1st Shift/Days The expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $95,600 to $131,450.
  • Actual wage offered may vary depending on work location , experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors.
  • This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus which is based on personal and company factors This position includes medical, vision and dental coverage, 401k, paid vacation, holidays, and sick time , and other benefits.
  • Benefits for the position includes 10 paid holidays per year, paid vacation starting at 136 hours per year for full-time employees (prorated for part-time employees), and paid sick time that exceeds the requirements of the Washington State Sick Leave law.
