What You'll Do
- , but are not limited to: Design evaluation board hardware to interface with test instruments and communicate with the device under test.
- Develop bench evaluation software to perform measurement sweeps during the device characterisation phase.
- Identify suitable equipment and develop new measurement methodologies to better aid the evaluation process.
- Independently evaluate, characterise and troubleshoot mixed-signal bench setups and test solutions.
- Compile measurement reports and summaries that can be shared with internal stakeholders and customers.
- Format, analyse and draw valid conclusions from measurement data, and present product improvement recommendations to the wider development team as required.
- Work closely with the on-site Design, Applications and Test Development groups to ensure products meet customer requirements and are released to market within the agreed product development schedule.
- Desired Skills and Qualifications: Master’s/primary degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (or equivalent) with 3 years of relevant experience.
- Familiarity with RF test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers, network analysers and power meters (full training will be provided).
- Familiarity with Python scripting to automate bench measurements using test instruments.
- General knowledge of RF measurements such as compression, phase noise, gain, spurious emissions, S-parameter measurements and noise figure.
- Strong troubleshooting, rework and sound judgement skills.
- Strong written and communication skills.
