What You'll Do

  • The successful candidate will: Work with clients and partners to develop performance criteria Design and build customized optical characterization test systems for new platform characterization Characterize new platform performance and lead performance improvement and redesign efforts Carry out extensive data collection and analysis in support of platform characterization and improvements Work with peers to prioritize and coordinate activities Contribute to design improvements and IP generation Qualifications & Requirements.
  • Required: PhD or MS in Applied Physics or Optical Engineering 5+ years of experience in building and operating optical characterization systems Expertise in automated experiment design and construction Experience in automated data collection and analysis Strong teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills coupled with a demonstrated ability to work at a high level of performance both independently and in teams.
  • High levels of motivation and creativity, with an outgoing, positive attitude.
  • An inquisitive nature and willingness to tackle multiple disciplinary challenges.
  • Demonstrated record of innovation, execution, and results, with high standards for performance.
  • Python programming skills Optical physics modelling experience For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S.
  • Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S.
  • Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.

  • Job Req Type: Experienced Required Travel: Yes, 10% of the time Shift Type: 1st Shift/Days The expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $157,080 to $227,460.
  • Actual wage offered may vary depending on work location , experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors.
  • This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus which is based on personal and company factors.
